The most important keepsake of your wedding day will be your photos and videos that you are going to reminisce about for years to come. Let’s face it, wedding videos capture the truest sense of the day, with all of the visuals and sounds. Having said that, there are a few couples out there who love the idea and desire the same, but they get anxious simply because they are camera shy. Getting in front of the camera, regardless of whether they are posing or being natural; makes them super stressed.

I understand how difficult it can get for you guys to keep up and pose a lot during the wedding but worry not. The best way to deal with such a situation is to have a wedding videographer. There are a lot of camera shy couples who often wonder if they should hire a videographer to document their day. And my answer is – definitely YES!

Your videographer will get the most spontaneous moments from the day, and they don't require you to perform or keep staring all the time over the camera. They will document some of the most amazing, funny, and extraordinary moments that you wouldn't want to miss. Wouldn't it feel great to know those moments were recorded candidly while you were having and celebrating your big day?

As a professional wedding videographer, I am well-versed in the art of creative storytelling. Everything from filming the candid shots to editing and music can help elevate your wedding video to make it more special. My style is very natural, and most of the brides and grooms you’ll find on my website are camera shy couples, but in a very relaxed state. We’re not on a movie set, instead, I capture everything as it unfolds on the day. In fact, I’ll gently guide you only on key moments, as in your portrait session after the ceremony.

Believe me! They are camera shy people as much as you probably are.

Georgia & Patrick's wedding was filmed at Mitolo Wines, South Australia.

There is something about the videos that photography can't capture. It's a different medium altogether, and if you can have both of them, you will love the videos as much as you love the photos. Trust me, there is no way of going back and doing it all over again. It's a once-in-a-lifetime day, and I truly believe it deserves to be documented. Also, as the wedding day goes by in a blur of excitement and celebrations, a video will trigger your memory, evoke your emotions, and help you hold on to those beautiful, precious memories forever.

While shooting wedding films, I always guide my camera shy couples and help them create moments of connection between them. I don't expect them to know everything and how it must be done. In a relaxed manner and with gentle guidance (and a touch of fun), they can surrender to the moment and savour their love.

I hope I have given you a fresh perspective on why you should consider hiring a wedding videographer. If your wedding is approaching quickly, I would love to hear from you. I am truly confident I can break the ice with my relaxed approach and make your day the most memorable. Here is the link to my wedding page to see how my clients look relaxed and have lots of fun!
